Fire & Light

Fire & Light is made in Northern California from recycled glass.  The company was founded in 1995 from a partnership between the Arcata Community Recycling Center and a group of local artists and investors.  Recycled glass is crushed, special pigments are added, and the mixture is melted overnight.  Molten glass is poured into molds, then each piece is hand finished by craftsmen.  Each piece is made one at a time and takes three days from start to finish.

 

Pieces are made from more than 91% recycled glass.  Due to color sensitivity, no recylced glass is used in the Citrus color.
