Calaisio

The water vine used to construct these all natural designs only grows in mountain jungles on remote islands in the South Pacific.  While it is challenging to harvest, it grows back quickly and leaves no damage to the ecologically sensitive forests.  Barely 1/4 as thick as rattan, it is more durable, heat resistant and elegant.

 

Each piece is entirely handwoven in the Phillipines.  Calaisio Inc is committed to investing a substantial amount of profit back into the villages where these artisans live to improve education and sanitation, and to provide them with sufficient earnings for better food, healthcare and transportation.
