Vietri Italian Dinnerware, Glassware, Flatware

The Vietri collection encompasses Italian dinnerware, glassware and flatware – everything you need to create a beautiful tablescape.  Patterns range from those with classic Italian references, to ones which are whimsical and fun.  The result is an ever-changing variety of pieces to add to your existing service, or to begin a collection that you can mix and match to suit your personal style.

Vietri Dinnerware

Vietri has an extensive collection of dinnerware, and you'll likely find a pattern that suits both your aesthetic and utility needs.  Several products have a touch of whimsy such as Old Saint Nick and Pescatore, so you can add just a piece or two to a basic table setting and create a fun statement.  We also love their stoneware collections, Lastra and Viva Fresh.  Not only do they have all 4 easy-care features - dishwasher, microwave, oven and freezer safe - but they also have an organic, updated feel with their irregular shapes.   Even better they have a range of colors to choose from.  Lastra Holiday is a wonderful pattern for your Christmas table, with Lastra and Stripes Red.  It is also a wonderful choice to use throughout the winter season alone or with Lastra Winterland.  The recent addition of their classic Incanto pattern in stoneware ceramic adds to their everyday, easy care range of dishes, which Vietri is continually expanding with new dinnerware and accent collections.

Vietri Glassware

Most Vietri stemware and barware is incredibly priced so you are spared the fear of breaking a precious piece.  Drop glassware is made of borosilicate glass, the same used in pyrex, so it is indeed durable though incredibly lightweight.  Please check out Regalia if you want really unique and stunning stemware for your table.  Vietri has also branched out to glass designed in Italy, made in Turkey, offering incredibly priced collections to add glass accent pieces to your table

Vietri Flatware

Vietri’s 18/10 stainless steel flatware, made in Italy by Bugatti, has great weight and feel.  Aladdin has acrylic handles in a range of colors, and Martellato features a hand-hammered design.  Recently, Vietri added Mepra flatware, also 18/10 stainless steel made in Italy, which is restaurant-grade quality and features great finishes.

Vietri History

Vietri was founded in 1983 by Susan and Frances Gravely.  While taking a trip to Italy with their mother, they were impressed by the colorful dinnerware at their hotel and asked to be taken to the factory where it was made.  They worked with those artisans for three days, and came home with a trunk full of samples which was the beginning of the company.  The name Vietri not only references the town where this occurred, but also is a play on the phrase “tre vite”, three lives.

Vietri is now the largest importer of Italian handcrafted products for the American specialty market.  Their products are made by skilled artisans using techniques handed down through the centuries.  As a result, each product varies slightly, a sign that reinforces the products are handmade.  Only the finest materials are used with uncompromising quality.
